Here are some Haikus I wrote for Boris the feral cat who lives with us. Well, he lives outside and we provide shelter, food and lots of snuggles.
The photographs that go with the Haikus are stylistic. I wanted them to look like pastel drawings so I used a slow shutter speed to create the blur and sense of movement in his play.
From out of the blue
Whiskers and claws, swipe at the
Mouse unused to play
Feral leaves, feral
Cat, both fall and tumble in
Autumn’s blustering
Beyond the greyness
Red. A slash of hue amidst
The colourless day
They become circle
For one brief moment and then
Split like a seedpod
